A Poached Corn

It was 5 pm, when i had just arrived to my boardinghouse. I felt so tired, because of some activities I had done in the day. After I took a bath, I saw some corns in my kitchen. Suddenly, I wanted to eat a poached corn. So, I turned on my stove and I boiled the corn in a pan. After that, I went to my room. I lied my head on my pillow while I was waiting for the corn was done. Later, I heard many people were so noisy at the outside. I didn’t know why they were. I felt quite disturbed because of them. Apparently, I slept when I was waiting for the corn to be done. But, at the time, I didn’t remember about my corn at all. I just felt so tired and I wanted to take a rest. So, I didn’t care them. And then my door was knocked loudly. Finally, I got up from the bed. But, I smelt a bad aroma and there was a smoke in my room. Suddenly, I remembered about my corn. I felt so panic at that time. I went to my kitchen and I turned off my stove. I opened the top of the pan and I was so surprised seeing the corn. It was so dark and I think it couldn’t be eaten at all. Some people still knocked my door. And now I knew why they were so noisy. Then I opened the door. With smiling, I told them what happened and said sorry. I knew, they smelt a bad aroma from my corn, so, they worried that it would be a fire. Next, I apoligized to the owner of my boarding house, my homemate and everybody there. And I promised that I wouldn’t do it anymore. They forgave me and some people among them saw my corn and they laughed.
